Hutchison, Ralph Cooper, 1898-1966
Variant namesHutchison (born Feb. 27, 1898 in Florrisant, CO) was a 1918 graduate of Lafayette College. He was the first alumnus to ascend to the presidency of Lafayette College, serving from 1945-1957. An ordained Presbyterian minister, Hutchison had previously served as president of Washington and Jefferson College, and dean of Alborz College in Teheran, Iran. During World War I, he served in the Navy Air Corps.
