Anand, Mulk Raj, 1905-2004
Variant namesMulk Raj Anand was a popular and prolific Indian novelist known for his realistic portrayal of India's poor. While living in London, he became politically active in India's independence movement, and wrote numerous tracts about Indian art and culture.
