First performance of Three Fresques, Prague, 27 April 1949, concert of the Czech section of the International Society for Contemporary Music, Prague Radio Orchestra, Vàclav Smetácek, conductor. First separate performance of Fresque for orchestra, Brussels, 22 December 1951, Grand Orchestre Symphonique of the Belgian Radio and Television Corporation, Daniel Sternefeld conductor, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Flemish broadcasting.--Cf.
