Biographical History

Originally composed for piano 4-hands as part of the Czech Duets, 1955. First performance of duets Ithaca, New York, at the Cornell University Contemporary Arts Festival; 1956, Bruce Archibald and Charles McClain pianists. This transcription 1958. First performance Ann Arbor, Michigan, August 1959, University of Michigan August 1959, University of Michigan Band, Henry Romersa conductor.--Cf. Fleisher Collection.
