Osborne, William Hamilton, 1873-1942
Variant namesA native of Newark, N.J., William Hamilton Osborne was an author and lawyer. He began to practice as an attorney in the 1890s and served as counsel for the Authors League of America. In 1902, Osborne started his literary career by writing short stories for many magazines including Harpers Monthly Magazine, McClures, the Saturday Evening Post.
