Talbot, William Henry Fox, 1800-1877
William Crookes, chemist and science journalist, was the founder and first editor of The photographic news. William Henry Fox Talbot, one of the co-inventors of photography, was also active in the development of photoengraving processes, and prints produced by his patented photoglyphic process were included in 2 early numbers of Crookes' journal (v. 1, no. 10, and v. 3, no. 54).
