Records of the Director's Office, divided into several collections; these include correspondence, minutes of the Board of Trustees (from 1930), the Faculty (from 1939), and the School of Mathematics (from 1935), as well as membership and financial records. The Archives also hold some other records of the Institute's constituent schools (Historical Studies, Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences); records of the Electronic Computer Project (ECP); collections of offprints, preprints, clippings, and other printed materials; photographs and realia. One collection of personal papers of Institute faculty has been deposited, and more deposits of professional and personal papers are expected. An oral history project documenting the early history of the Institute is in process.
