The Publications and Information Section disseminates information on the activities and services of the Department of Agriculture and Industries and on the agricultural industry in general. This section's duties include arranging press conferences, preparing and distributing news releases, and making video tapes available to television broadcasting stations. These records were created for use by the boradcase media. The video tapes cover a variety of subjects: the department's centennial celebration, the haylift of 1986, the Montgomery State Farmers Market, the National Food and Agriculture Exposition of 1983, and footage of departmental activities in the Beard Building. The video tapes are three-quarter inch broadcast tapes. Also included is a reel-to-reel audio tape of a radio broadcase made by Commissioner Albert McDonald on May 21, 1987.
