Letters and diary of John E. Hickman, soldier in Co. C, 13th Michigan Infantry; minutes books, 1887-1898, of the American Manufacturing Company, a flag manufacturing firm co-founded by Daniel Squier and his son Charles Squier; letters and other papers of Charles Squier's son Theodore L. Squier, a medical student at the University of Michigan, later a physician in Battle Creek, Michigan; letters of Nina A. La Barge, later Nina Squier, to her future husband, Theodore, relating in part to her activities as a student in the University of Michigan's Nurses' Training Program; papers of Theodore and Nina's sons, two of whom wrote letters home while serving in the military during World War II; and photographs.
