Wallace, Robert, 1697-1771

After studying at Edinburgh University and spending a while as an actor, Robert Wallace went on to receive his preacher's license in 1722. In 1744 he became the Royal Chaplain for Scotland and a dean of the Chapel Royal. In 1758 he published his innovative Characteristics of the Present Political State of Great Britain.
