Mainly official papers and some correspondence (1780-1824) of a financial nature, relating primarily to Nathaniel Gilman; together with printed Treasury Dept. circulars (1803-1810) and list of notes of the estate of Nathaniel Folsom, a relative. Includes letters from U.S. Office of Army Accounts (1788), receipts (1786-1788), and accounts of the Continental loan officer or receiver of Continental taxes for New Hampshire, and resolves of the U.S. Continental Congress. Correspondents include William Duer, Michael Hillegas, Charles Lee, Walter Livingston, and Samuel Osgood.
