Transcriptions of mortgages specifying the exchange of property as security for a money debt, on condition that if the debt is discharged the contract shall be void. Civil mortgage cases may include a mortgage agreement, the petition to foreclose because of default, and the foreclosure notice and its resultant fi fa. Information recorded includes date of instrument, contracting parties, amount of debt, contract period, legal description of property, county, signatures, and date of recording.
