Miscellaneous records relating to buildings and monuments in Paris, 1791-1813.

Reports, memoranda, proposals, letters and accounts relating to the construction, conversion or maintenance of public buildings, monuments and churches. The collection includes two reports on the preparation of a Convention chamber at the Tuileries (Gisors, 1791); a report on plans for a theater and opera in the rue de la Loi (Hubert, 1793); accounts for building and for furnishings removed from the Tribunat (1795, 1808); two entrepreneurs' accounts for the Pantheon (1795-1796); accounts for the cupola of the Halle au Ble; and records relating to city gardens. Records relating to public statuary and monuments include a report of Louis Michel Moreau (fils) judging a competition for a column, ca. 1795; letters of B. Lange and Chaudet; a report of Dominique Vivant Denon on an equestrian statue by Moitte; a receipt by Lepere for drawings for the Colonne d'Austerlitz; accounts related to the monuments in the Place Vendome; and a report of Aubert on the monuments of the 1st arrondissement. Other documents relate to the restorations of churches in the 5th arrondissement and at St. Denis, and the Bibliotheque Imperiale (1813).
