Fragments from a commonplace book, n.d.

Five commonplace book or diary pages containing extracts from Elizabeth Rundle Charles' hymn "Toss'd with rough winds," a passage entitled "Mass at sea in Brittany," copies of Psalms 107 and 133, a modern parable about a leavetaking between mother and son, and a vivid evocation of Paris in the spring (possibly written by van Gogh). The passages are written variously in English, Dutch and French.
