Adventures with Accelerators: R. R. Wilson Prize Lecture, 1993.

This paper presents a speaker's eyewitness accounts of certain accelerator developments since the 1940s. These include his part in the design of the Brookhaven Cosmotron and the race to a billion volts in the early 1950s. Also included are many details from his life as a physicist.
