The media of the original drawing is unknown, although it appears to have been an ink and wash rendering. This bird's-eye perspective is reproduced photographically as an illustration to an article from the Sunday Record-Herald of Chicago, dated February 22, 1914 and titled "New $250,000 concert gardens to be constructed on the South Side". This clipping includes not only the reproduction of the Wright rendering, but the complete text of the article as well.
