Hendecourt amulet roll : manuscript, [12--].

Byzantine liturgical roll on vellum. Includes: the open Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; the Lord's Prayer; the Nicean Creed; and the 68th Psalm. Each work is illustrated with a small painting. The back of the scroll includes various magical incantations in Arabic placed there by a 14th century owner, Suleiman Ibn Sara.
