Includes Boylston's notebook from when he was a student at Harvard Medical School and contains notes from lectures given by Harvard professors including Jacob Bigelow and John Ware. Includes notes on the symptoms and treatment of epilepsy, rheumatism, apoplexy, paralysis, typhous fevor, phtisis, pneumonia, pleurisy, cholera, scarlatino, measles, diseases of the cerebrum. Also contains Boylston's own list of the "Number of Cases of Midwifery and time," from 1835-1842, including several cases of abortion.
