Mach and atomism, ca. 1960.

Stephen Brush's manuscript is really less a biography than a scholarly analysis of Ernst Mach's resistance to atomic theory and relativity, although there is something of the intellectual biography to the work in Brush's tracing of the development of Mach's ideas. The paper includes seven pages of endnotes.
