Three playscripts, one printed play with manuscript annotations, a letter and a signed quotation by Henry Arthur Jones. Two of the playscripts are interleaved printed copies of The Liars, an Original Comedy in Four Acts (London, 1897), with stage directions and manuscript corrections in unidentified hands, one with Henry Arthur Jones' name and address written inside the front cover in an unidentified hand. There is also a bound manuscript of The Middleman, dated March-June, 1889; and an acting copy typescript of Whitewashing Julia. The letter is from Jones to Oliver Herford, dated Feb. 10, 1925. It was removed from Jones' What is capital? (London, 1925). Also present is a signed quotation from "Judah," Act 3, accompanied by a clipped signature and a photograph of the author.
