Letter : Williamsburg, Va., to George Rogers Clark, 1778 Jan. 3.

Letter signed. Signed by George Wythe, George Mason, and Thomas Jefferson. Members of the Virginia General Assembly wrote Clark to congratulate him upon his appointment as the leader of a military expedition to the Northwest. They assured Clark that he and his men would receive bounties of land as compensation.
