The series consists of correspondence, memoranda, and statistical reports relating to the operations of the Syracuse Collegiate Center. Correspondence, constituting the bulk of the series, mostly pertains to routine administrative matters, such as personal actions and travel arrangements. The Emergency Adult Education Project established Emergency Collegiate Centers in 1933 to provide relief for unemployed teachers and tuition free college courses for unemployed high school graduates. It was continued in 1936 with Works Progress Administration funding.
