Records of a sugar plantation in Michoacán Province, Mexico, which was sold to the Jesuits in 1629, and sold again to a private owner in the 1780's after the expulsion of the Jesuits from Latin America in 1767. Tarascan documents deal with earlier claims to the lands by the Tarasco Indians.
