David Ross land grants and indenture, 1771-1795.

Two land grants and one indenture regarding the real property of David Ross. The first land grant consists of two documents (July 4, Oct. 1, 1771) that describe 500 acres of land, the boundaries, location, and parties involved with the transferring of land in the Manchac District, Province of West Florida, Louisiana, to David Ross. Elias Durnford and Cornelius Bradford are also mentioned in the documents. Second land grant (in Spanish) regards the transfer of 800 arpents of land in the District of Baton Rouge to David Ross, dated March 26, 1795, and bears the signature of Luis Héctor Carondelet. The indenture (Jan. 30, 1776) is between Elias Durnford and Rebecca, his wife, of the one part and Samuel Flowers of the Manchac District, exchanging $600.00 for 300 acres of the 500 acre tract belonging to David Ross.
