Announcing the timely publication of his poem "Le Partie d'Echecs" in the Aragonese press (Cocteau traveled to Spain during August and October 1960), mentioning his friendship with Max Ernst, and quoting Eliot's Waste Land; giving advice to be passed on to the artist Reis and mentioning his and Picasso's view of Japanese inks, complaining of constraints on his work, recalling his time in Andalucia, and praising Duchamp's turn to the absurd; asking if he has received the album and drawings, and expressing concern over his silence.
