Samuel Taubman was a 1940 University of Michigan graduate of aeronautical engineering. He served as a ground school instructor for the Civil Aeronautics Administration Aviation Ground School, worked as an engineer for Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, and later owned the National Shower Manufacturing Company in Detroit and a plant in Florida.
