Sharpe, Mary Ellen Graydon, 1823-1914

Sharpe was born in Harrisburg, Pa., the daughter of abolitionists. In 1843 the family moved to Indianapolis. They joined the Second Presbyterian Church where the young Henry Ward Beecher was pastor.
