Edmund Cumming Corbett papers, 1849-1864.

The papers in this collection concern the Early Light Horse (or Dragoons) which was Captain T.T. Swann's Company, Stewart's Cavalry Battalion Local Defense Troops, Georgia; the Effingham Minutemen which was Captain A.P. Longstreet's Company, Wright's Battalion, Local Defense Troops, Georgia; and the Empire State Guards which was Company I, 47th Regiment Georgia Infantry. It includes three Confederate imprints, two of which are unique. The papers are muster rolls and orders, one for the defense of Savannah, March 2, 1863.
