Biographical Information Marian Cleeves Diamond was born in Glendale, California on November 11, 1926. She received her B.A. in 1948 and M.A. in 1949 from U.C. Berkeley, and in 1953 she became the first woman to receive a doctorate in Anatomy at U.C. Berkeley. Her career at Berkeley progressed from lecturer in Anatomy in 1960 to being appointed as a full Professor of Anatomy in 1974. From 1970 to 1972 she served as Associate Dean of Berkeley'...
