Amy Marie Charles papers, 1965-1984.

Correspondence, photographs, drafts of articles, and audio-visual materials collected by Amy Charles during her research on 17th-century English poet George Herbert. Collection contains texts of 17th-century works by Herbert and other devotional poets, iconographic material associated with Herbert, and correspondence related to Charles's research. Also included are papers, slides, audiocassette tapes, and microfilm from the Friends of Bemerton, a society founded by Charles in 1974 to foster interest in the life and works of Herbert and to preserve the churches of his parish in Bemerton, England.
