Comic book writer and artist Larry Hama (b. 1949) is the creative force behind comic book titles like G.I. Joe, The ‘Nam, and Bucky O’Hare, but his creative influence extends to other titles and fields. A third generation (sansei) Japanese American, Hama was born in Manhattan and raised in Queens, New York.
