Papers of Edgar Bright Wilson, Jr., 1935-1983 (inclusive).

These papers document Wilson's career during his time at Harvard University. The bulk of the material (44 cubic feet) is in the Correspondence series which covers all aspects of Wilson's professional activities. Material relating to Wilson's teaching may be found in two smaller series, the Student correspondence series and the Lecture notes series. Student correspondence contains correspondence with and about former students and post-doctoral fellows, including letters of recommendation, notes, and reports. The Lecture notes series contains Wilson's notes for chemistry courses he taught at Harvard, including statistical mechanics. Problem sets and examinations for some courses are included. Also in this series are lecture notes identified as "Paris" and "Belgium."
