This collection contains information on deceased alumni gather by the Alumni Association. It consists primarily of obituaries and student information sheets which contain vital information on the deceased. Birth dates, marriage dates, death dates, dates of attendance at BYU. Spousal and family information should be recognizable by viewing the obituary and included student information of each deceased alumni.

Plans for the David O. McKay building began in 1952 after an evaluation by the Brigham Young University College of Education concluded that the existing building for the College of Education were no longer meeting the growing needs of the program.
