[Subsurface response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Cruise 21, Summary of data collected from the R/V Brooks McCall, Sept. 3, 2010 - Sept. 5, 2010] [electronic resource] / [U.S. Dept. of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration ; U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ; BP]. [2010].

The R/V Brooks McCall departed on Sept. 2, 2010 from Fourchon, La. to collect data in the Gulf of Mexico, Mississippi Canyon. From Sept. 3 to Sept. 5, 2010, three days of Brooks McCall Cruise 21 tracked the subsurface plume signals as part of Operation Clean Sweep. A total of 11 CTD casts completed, 36 samples from 9 stations (BM203-BM211) were analyzed by Hach modified Winkler methods today. DO data have been submitted with the daily deliverables. The 60 Hach results from Cruise 20 had a correlation of 0.99 with the in situ Seabird DO sensor. This demonstrates that the Seabird DO meter continues to provide a very reliable in situ measure of DO. There was no indication of oil in the fluorometry data at any of the sites sampled.
