Susan B. Anthony (b. February 15, 1820, Adams, Massachusetts-d. March 13, 1906, Rochester, New York)1820-1906), educated in New York and at the Philadelphia Friends Seminary. Anthony taught at various New York schools between 1839 and 1849. She became involved in women's suffrage, temperance, abolitionism, and labor reform after a meeting with Elizabeth Cady Stanton in 1850.
