The Howard R. Hague papers and photographs includes newspaper clippings taken from various city and union newspapers across the country that document the contestation of his appointment, and the ensuing vice presidential election. The newspaper articles emphasize his rise through union ranks and also his involvement with the USWA. The 200 photographs in this collection depict Howard Hague at various USWA events and conferences, including the 1957 AFL-CIO Convention, the 1960 USWA Convention, and USWA district conferences. This collection contains a plaque holding a letter written by President Lyndon B. Johnson to Howard Hague in May 1964, as well as an oversized portrait of Hague.
