This addition to the Chester Fritz Papers consists of thirty films and five videotapes. It is likely that the films were donated by Chester Fritz himself, while the videotapes were probably gathered from other sources. For the ease of research, all films and videotapes related to Chester Fritz are listed here. Dates, when known, have been provided. The films were separated and placed in the Film Collection, while the videos were added to the Videotape Collection.

Chester Fritz was born March 25, 1892, in Buxton, North Dakota. Chester Fritz worked in various occupations in North Dakota beginning at the age of 12. He attended the University of North Dakota from 1908-1910. He moved to Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington in 1914. He worked with the Fisher Flouring Mills Company in Seattle which led him to Hong Kong.
