Describing his health and saying that "from day to day all things change with me. The bodily ailments indeed seem entirely conquered--but the wanderings ( I will not say totterings, yet) of mind and heart continue;" concluding "the best that I can say of myself is that I love all my friends and lovers--better than ever and am more grieved daily for the grief I cause them."
