Typed finding aid, prepared by Louise L. Stevenson, of the archives of Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Connecticut. Includes the school's collections as of 1977. The private girls school was started by Sarah Porter, and the school holds many of her family's letters in addition to student correspondence and reminiscences, school account books, diaries, student and alumni activities, and photographs and scrapbooks. The collection dates from the nineteenth century.
