Seasat Project Records.

These records from Arden A. Loomis document the early stages of Seasat development, including the Earth and Ocean Physics Applications program (EOPAP) recommendations and the Seasat Users Working Group, through the end of mission. In the summer of 1974 JPL was selected to manage the project and in October the project office was formed. Seasat launched in June of 1978 and ended operations in October, 1978. These records focus on the science requirements that guided the experiments and the uses made of the science data and include reports, meeting minutes, planning documents, presentations, and contact lists.
