From the first paragraph "Establishment of a special committee on space technology was announced yesterday (Sunday) by James H. Doolittle, chairman of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, the government's research establishment for study of the problems of flight. Dr. H. Guyford Stever, associate dean of engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has been selected to head the new committee."
