Account book, 1466-1524.

A pocket memorandum book of a Florentine grain dealer. The entries are made in a variety of hands, possibly those of the buyers. This account book is characteristic of the type used when Palioli created his treatise on double entry bookkeeping. The book designates dalle Vanna as the official recorder of transactions.

Walter Hausdorfer began his library career as a student assistant in the Sullivan Library, Temple Univ. In 1925 he became the Assistant Librarian. After obtaining his library degree at Columbia, Hausdorfer directed the Columbia School of Business Library for 16 years. Between 1946 and 1963 Hausdorfer served as head librarian at Temple Univ.
