A native of Kemah, Texas, Everett Andrew Hanson, Jr. (1921-2006), served with the U.S. Army’s 305th Engineer Battalion and in France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, and Austria during World War II. He supervised estimates on the work and manpower necessary to complete bridges and navigate obstacles.
