William McMechen miscellaneous papers, 1812-1813.

Contains three documents dated July 18, 1812, November 16, 1812, and January 4, 1813. Copy of last will and testament of James Price, Baltimore, leaving his children Anna and Risdon and his friend William McMechen, equal shares in his estate; directs the latter to administer his share for Price's son Frederick during the latter's lifetime; makes other provisions. Signed by James Price, J. Cromwell, James Smyth and John S. Horne. Copy of deed of land in Baltimore from John Craggs, Baltimore, to William McMechen, Baltimore, for $800. Signed by Craggs and McMechen and witnessed by J.L. Curtis, John Aisquith and John F. Harris. Appended with affidavit of John Craggs that the transfer was made of his own free will. Copy of deed of land in Baltimore from John P. Paca, Queen Anne's County, Maryland, to William McMechen, Baltimore, for $1000. Signed by Paca and witnessed by Richard J. Earle. Appended with affidavit of John P. Paca and Juliana, his wife, that the transfer was made of their own free will.
