Many of the entries include coffee, spirits, brandy, wine, rum, lemmons, etc. sold to soldiers including Lt Waide of the 38 Regt, William Mortimore of 38 Regt, Ensign Nunwick of the 5 Regt, Lt Blucke of the Royal Welch Fusilier, Lt Manuel of 38th Regt, Ensign John Gray of the 30th Regt, John Clark Paymaster to 59th Regiment, etc. Payments owed for merchandise purcahsed from various merchants including cabinet makers Hale & Swanton, John Stewart, and Thomas Aimar were also recorded. The six unnumbered pages contains: Account of furniture and their cost and value left in the dwelling house of Henry Quincy also an acct of stock in his warehouse left by him when he by permission of General Gage with his family left his possessions in Boston May 6th 1775. The account was given in Providence, RI on Dec 28 1776 before John Foster Justice of the Peace. There is also a note that when Henry returned to Boston on 17 April 1776 he discovered that his house and warehouse had been emptied and all carried off or destroyed.

Henry Quincy was the son of Judge Edmund Quincy (1703-1788) and Elizabeth Wendell (1704-1769). He was born 20 January 1726/7 in Boston and died 27 May 1780 at Cambridge, MA. He first married Mary Salter (1725-1754/5) in 1748 with whom he had two children and second to Eunice Newell (1734-1804) in 1759 with whom he had eight children.
