Martin M. Stasney family papers, 1881-1905.

From the Knights of Maccabees there are two receipts for dues, a publication on the organization's history and revised laws. There are 10 photographs, all but two are unidentified. Mr. Stasney was active in state and county politics, having served on the district election board and the school board for over 43 years. Also includes correspondence from Martin F. Stasney, who served in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), dating from October 1934 to March 1937. Correspondence from Bernard L. Stansey, who served in World War II and was stationed in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany, dates from July 1941 to July 1945. The collection also contains correspondence from daughter Violetta, Mrs. Stasney's sister Mrs. Jacob Welcek, nephew Pvt. Marvin Filipi, and the Gust Pesek family. Also in the collection are: newspaper clippings, a telegram, postcards and photographs mailed home from both Martin F. and Bernard, photographs of the Martin M. Stasney farm mailed to Bernard while in Europe, materials related to a trip Mr. and Mrs. Martin M. Stasney took to Alabama and Louisiana in 1929, and other materials belonging to members of the Martin M. Stasney family.
