Notes on the life of Horatio Jones, 1878-1893.

Notes taken by George H. Harris in preparation for writing a narrative of the life of Horatio Jones, adopted Seneca and interpreter in Western New York during the decades following the Revolutionary War. "The Life of Horatio Jones" was reconstructed from Harris' unfinished draft and notes and published in Publications of the Buffalo Historical Society, Volume VI (1903). Included in this collection are biographical sketches about Jones, drafts written by Harris, and typescript copies of journal entries and letters from Jones to Timothy Pickering from the Pickering Papers at the Massachusetts Historical Society.
