Thanking her for the bud of magnolia she sent but explaining how its condition will not suit his "Fiammetta picture," which would "require a smaller class of blossom"--But expressing his confidence that it will suit another picture he is working on; mentioning having gone to the MacDonald house, which he thinks "suitable in several very leading respects, but rather wearily remote, besides some other objections"; indicating that he is still considering it along with a house at Fulham.
