Freya Rivers oral history interview, 1993.

Rivers discusses her father's service in World War II, business, and civil rights efforts in Baton Rouge; her role in the integration of Robert E. Lee High School; her role in the LSU desegregation suit; and her attendance at LSU, including her racist reception by other students. Rivers also discusses her participation in the civil rights movement, her work with inner-city children, African-American politics and voting, the challenges facing African Americans, and the future of race relations in America.
