Includes biographies of Jared Sparks, Charles Folsom, John Chipman Gray, Octavius Pickering, Charles Greely Loring, Samuel Atkins Eliot, Theophilus Parsons, John Gorman Palfrey, William Howard Gardiner, Franklin Dexter, William Powell Mason, Henry Warren, and William Hickling Prescot. Includes a list of members not pictured.

The Club was formed in 1818 and eventually included twenty-four members. All but one of the members graduated from Harvard College between 1810 and 1817 and held prominent positions within Boston society. Meetings were held in the homes of individual members.
